Malaysia is now on high alert!! (H1N1) flu is coming.

15 May 2009 - Today and after a test, Malaysia has reported its first influenza A(H1N1) case involving a student who returned from the United States two days ago(cited from TheStar Online). Therefore, Malaysia is now on high alert, we must to be careful already. We all must work together to prevent the spread of the disease around the world.

Preventions

• If you fell unwell, it is advised immediately seek for treatment.
• High alert on the food you eat. Eat more vegetables.
• Ensure Personal hygiene.
• Drink plenty of water.
• Make sure has enough sleep and rest.

Latest Remark/Updates: as of 30 April 09
1. Due to overwhelming response from Miri Chapter, National VAD Camp 2009 are NOW VAD CAMP 2009. This is to emphasize only for our chapter members. Local participants has exceed beyond expectations!

2. Registration is now closed. End up with:

160 Members (Max), 45 Committee Member (Max), 125 members confirmed with forms and payment, 29 members confirmed coming soon (outstation) and 8 members is on deduction list.

3. Pens, punnets and t-shirts will be collected on Friday (latest). Banner will be made only with Datuk Patinggi's name etched on it. Backdrop is still required.

4. Four Monkey tents are now in placed. Skirting and canvas will be deployed today. Members and committees are advised to bring mosquito repellent for your personal aid.

5. Barbecue OC is advised to prepare the event beforehand ASAP.

6. For those committees who cannot enter the camp tonight, please inform Camp Commandant via message/by call.

7. Welcoming gratitude for newly formed committees for the camp: 8 Youth Leadership Committees namely Jason, Charlene, Sheau Harn, Kim Fong, Ke Le, Yan Lin, Yee Hung, Jeff and for Curtin VAD-57 namely Andrew and Kang Ning as F&B, Yvette as Vice Quatermaster, Raniya as Traning & Security while Mido as Mobile Helpers. Urgent: Next Meeting For National VAD Camp (Updated)

Dear Board Committees,

This is command from Mr.Commandant, all Board are invited to attend another meeting for National VAD Camp 2009. Henceforth, Mr.commandant will double confirm the doubts and concern of the meeting on 10th April (Friday).

Time: 8am-10am Aerobic Dance, 10am-12pm Meeting, 1230 to 2pm for lunch and preparation, 2pm-5pm for game test run.
