That is spirit of Malaysian Red Crescent , VAD-57 of Curtin University Of Technology! On 20th of October, Johnny Ting and Vincent Chin went to a primary school, for the First Aid Training of the students of SJK (C) Chung San. Here were the photos of the day:

i hope all the committee and members of VAD-57 can contribute and give more effort to make our VAD or urself grow..NEXT semester, Sem1 2009, we will promise to make our club well-known in whole curtin and have the ability to manage the safety and emergency in Curtin. we also wan to let others know that, WE ARE THE BEST!! we can MAKE A DIFFERENT..SERVE THE BEST FOR STUDENT SAFETY..

Notice: VAD Uniform (Last Update: 23 Oct)

All committee members are compulsory to wear the VAD Uniform during formal occasion (effective 2009). Therefore, committee members that haven't purchase the uniform are advised to make it ASAP.

-Price range will be around RM100 to RM170 including tailor fees and accessory.
-Accessories of the uniform can be purchased at BSM HQ Office which is buttons, lanyard, logos, belt and epaulet.
-name tags are also needed (can be done in bookshop) background of the tag should be in black and the name should be in white.
-The tailor shop providing the uniform will be the one next to Sin Liang supermarket in town named Jan Mi School Shop.
-according to the tailor shop owner, they have ready-made Red Crescent uniform on sale next month, the price will be much lower and using the same white material from HQ Miri which is thicker and better. Available for both gender. (but they do not disclose weather it is a VAD uniform or not).

A First Aider in Every Home Certificate

This Saturday, 18 October 2008, there will be a 1st aid course from 8am to 4pm at BSM HQ miri. Please check in early, where names will be recorded on and after the end of the course. Certificate will only be awarded for those who attend (for the whole course period).

Noted that there will be 2 refreshment for the day.
Extra note: Charges will apply for the next year 1st aid course.
*1st aid course are different from 1st aid exam. (where you needed to finish your degree in engineering). Basics of 1st aid are needed before you are qualified for the exam.

Last Call For Upcoming Event

In conjunction of Environmental Project launched by E-Fact (Excellent Education Facilitating Team) of Curtin University of Technology, Malaysian Red Crescent, VAD-57 would lend a hand for the event. Thus, our task during the event is to provide first aid. The Detail of the event:
